LAST WEEK TO SUBMIT ‘FACES OF OUR HEROES’ VETERANS TRIBUTE ENTRIES

 

 

The community has their last chance to submit entries for the ‘Faces of Our Heroes’ veterans tribute before the deadline on Monday, May 7. These submissions will join the other 170 veterans included in the exhibit that will be on display this Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-28, 2018. The exhibit was first displayed in 2015 as an opportunity to honor deceased U.S. military veterans from throughout Owensboro. This special tribute to our veterans inside the Owensboro Convention Center includes photos and information of ‘heroes’ from our region. 

 

If a veteran was previously registered with the exhibit (either in 2015 or 2017), then you do not need to submit their information again. If you would like to register to be a part of the exhibit, the City of Owensboro is working in conjunction with Daviess County Public Library again to gather the information for the exhibit. Photos and registration forms may be submitted at the library. Entry forms may be downloaded from the city’s website or picked up at the library. Your photo will be scanned at the library when you submit the registration form. Forms must be submitted by Monday, May 7.
