  • Bluegrass MTB Cup

    Sunday August 5, 2018

    Location: Ben Hawes-Rudy Mines Trails
    Contact: Larry Myles

The Bluegrass MTB Cup was established in 2018 with a goal to continue a series of cross country mountain bike races across the state of Kentucky. For year one, there will be five races hosted by individual promoters following an overall set of series rules and guidelines. We feel this gives the opportunity for each race to have its own "flavor" but keeps the consistency required for a successful series. As we move on to year two we hope to add a few more races across the state further expanding the footprint of the series. Ben Hawes is the last race of the series.

Friday After 5 is a summer-long series of free outdoor concerts held every Friday on the eight block, stunningly beautiful Owensboro, Kentucky riverfront.

Friday After 5 began in 1996 with four concerts and grew into a 16-week signature festival for the entire tri-state area hosting more than 50,000 visitors each season on the riverfront every Friday After 5. It’s Where the Weekend Begins!

    Fun. Friends. Free.

Friday After 5 was again named one of the “Top Ten Summer Festivals” in Kentucky and just won the prestigious Reader’s Choice Platinum Award for “Best Community Event” of the year.  The festival includes live bands, family events, food and entertainment and our “Toast to the Sunset” at each Friday After 5.

Location:  From RiverPark Center through Smothers Park  to the Owensboro Convention Center downtown on the Owensboro Riverfront on the Ohio River.

Hours: 5pm until 10pm each Friday.  Party Pier is open from 5pm until 11pm.
