LIMB COLLECTION SEASON  - 2 WEEKS REMAINING

The Owensboro Sanitation Department will begin vacuum leaf collection soon, only 2 weeks left of limb collection. The last week for limb collection will be October 15th – 19th. We will gladly collect your tree limbs, brush and bagged items on your regularly scheduled trash collection day. Simply place the material curbside, but in your yard, before 6:00 AM.

Please follow these simple guidelines to make sure that your items are collected:

  • Please place loose items such as tomato vines, leaves, etc. in bags or customer provided cans for collection.Sorry, but we may not be responsible for damage to your cans.

  • Please limit can or bag weight to 30 pounds.

  • Limbs must be smaller than 6-inches in diameter for collection. Please place the cut end towards the street.

  • Do not block material with cars or other obstructions.

  • We cannot collect dirt of any kind. Please thoroughly rinse off all root wads for collection. We must stress that we may not collect any dirt.

We discourage grass collection and recommend mulching your grass for a healthier lawn.  If you must bag your grass then you are required to have a “grass sticker” on the bag.  Stickers are available at city hall for $1.25 per bag.

The last week for limb collection will be October 15th – 19th. These will be picked up on your trash day. Call CityAction at 270-687-4444 for more information or call Public Works at 270-687-8760.
