KIDDE FIRE EXTINGUISHER RECALL

CLARIFICATION

 

Kidde Fire Safety has recalled 37.8 million Fire Extinguishers with plastic handles. Please refer to the Kidde Web Site www.kidde.com or Consumer Product Safety Commission for additional information.

 

Those with the recalled extinguishers should call 1-855-271-0773. Those with recalled RV extinguishers should call 1-855-262-3540.  

 

In the information provided by Kidde, it states that after a replacement extinguisher is received to either send the old unit back to Kidde or take it to a local Fire Department for disposal.

 

The Owensboro Fire Department is not equipped to handle these extinguishers and cannot act as a liaison with Kidde. Consumers must work directly with Kidde.
