The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center is accepting registrations for the Second Summer Session of the weSKATE Program. The weSKATE program follows the lesson format created by the Ice Skating Institute of America (ISI), the nation’s largest recreational ice skating organization.

Classes are available for all ages and abilities, from tots to adults and focuses on recreational, figure skating, and/or hockey skills. Class times are available at Participants may choose the day and time that is most convenient.

The next session is offered on Saturdays, July 18 thru August 8. The registration deadline is July 10. Class fees are $20 per person, and includes one hour of ice time (30 minutes of instruction plus 30 minutes of practice ice), skate rental, and two free pool passes and two free rink passes.

Register through the Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administrative Center at 270-687-8700, in person at the Edge Ice Center, or by calling the Edge Ice Center at 270-687-8720 during business hours Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m.
