The City of Owensboro’s Edge Ice Center will be hosting the 5th Annual “Living on the Edge” Team Figure Skating Competition, January 30 and 31. Skaters representing 7 ice arenas from KY, IN, OH, AL, and MO will compete over the two day event. Economic impact of the event is estimated at $33,182.

 

The competition will start at 8 a.m. Saturday, January 30, and run throughout the day until 6:30 p.m., breaking between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. for public session. Events will start again Sunday, January 31 at 8 a.m. and conclude by 11 a.m. The competition schedule is available at www.owensboroparks.org. Members of the Owensboro Figure Skating Team will be competing and spectators are welcome; there are no admission fees.

 

Public skating sessions for the weekend will take place Friday 7-10 p.m., Saturday 1-4 p.m.; and 7-10 p.m., and Sunday 1-4 p.m.
