Champion Joey Chestnut Returning to International Bar-B-Q Festival for World Mutton Sandwich Eating Competition

 

Reigning Champion Joey Chestnut will return to Owensboro for the 2^nd annual World Mutton Sandwich Eating Competition, presented by Kentucky Legend.

 

The competition will take place during the International Bar-B-Q Festival in downtown Owensboro. Ten to twelve contestants will compete to beat the current world record held by Chestnut, which is 55 4oz mutton sandwiches in 10 minutes. Chestnut currently holds 37 competitive eating world records, including hot dogs, apple pies, chicken wings, glazed donuts, funnel cakes, and more.

 

The public is invited to watch the World Mutton Eating Competition, which will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at McConnell Plaza in downtown Owensboro.
