The City of Owensboro has ordinances which outline the regulations for displaying signs on public rights-of way. Signs that are not in compliance will be removed by City employees and taken to the city Street Department where they may be picked up.

Signs may be picked up at the Public Works Building at 1410 W. Fifth Street between 7:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Monday through Friday. If you need additional information regarding the sign ordinances, please call Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission Assistant Director Jim Mischel at 687-8661.
