Commissioner Bob Glenn
Bob Glenn is an award winning teacher, scholar, and debate coach. He is a tenured Full Professor of Communication and serves as the Director of the Forensics program at Owensboro Community and Technical College, where he has served for nearly two decades. Bob has served in a number of prominent professional posts including as President of the Kentucky Communication Association, Founder of the Community College Division within the Southern States Communication Association, and past President of the Owensboro chapter of Toastmasters 1730. He has been recognized for excellence as a teacher (2008, SSCA), as one of the best college Debate coaches in Kentucky (KFA, 2012), and for his longstanding service to the communication discipline (2002, 2009, 2011, KCA).
His extensive record of community service includes a decade as Chair of the 7 Hills Neighborhood Alliance, membership in PRIDE, active participation in the "We the People" Forums, involvement as a tutor for Kentucky Reads, as support staff for Upwards Basketball, as a certified KHSAA official in three sports, and as a Certified Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church. Bob is married to his wife of 23 years, Holly, and they have two children, Bobby and Caitlin.
