INCLEMENT WEATHER THREAT - HALLOWEEN TO BE OBSERVED FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1

Due to the threat of inclement weather and the concern for citizen safety the Mayor and the Owensboro Board of Commissioners are encouraging Owensboro citizens of to observe Halloween, including the tradition of trick-or-treating, on Friday, November 1.  As always, Halloween is not an official holiday. Government offices and businesses are open as usual, and public services run on regular schedules. If you drive around in late afternoon or evening, it is important to keep a careful lookout for children trick-or-treating.  For more information about inclement weather, please contact the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency at (270) 685-8448.  Have a safe and happy Halloween.
