About Owensboro's New Website

Easier to Use

We have included a global site search powered by Google which searches across all city sites (Parks & Recreation, Owensboro Fire Department, RWRA, and OMU) to find information you desire. Another goal in our redesign was to minimize the number of clicks it takes to navigate to certain features of our website.

More Compatibility

Owensboro's website has been tested in Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7 as well as recent versions of Firefox, Opera, and Safari. We recommend Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox running at a resolution of 1024x768 or above.

Behind The Scenes

Lots of significant technical changes were made to make this new website happen. Those changes have made Owensboro's site more visible to search engines, cheaper to maintain, and easier to adapt to the ever changing web environment.
