Mayor Pro Tem Deborah May Nunley

Deborah May Nunley was born and raised in Owensboro, KY. She has been a member of Owensboro’s real estate community for over 34 years, winning the Pinnacle Award for Distinguished Service (Owensboro Board of Realtors) and Realtor of the Year in 1981 and 1998. She is the current co-owner and President of Golden Ventures, Inc., Past Broker/co-owner of Century 21 Partners and served as past president of the Owensboro Board of Realtors.

Deborah holds a Bachelors Degree in business and office administration from Western Kentucky University. She has been involved with state and community organizations, including Leadership Kentucky, Kentucky Early Childhood Education Business Council, Kentucky Museum of Arts and Design, Owensboro Junior Achievement, Owensboro Symphony Orchestra Board, Owensboro-Daviess County Industry, Inc., and the Elizabeth Munday Senior Center. She has chaired organizations such as Owensboro Streetscape 2000, Owensboro Symphony Auxiliary, Owensboro Civic, Cultural and Economic Development Commission, Owensboro Property Maintenance Code Appeals Board, the Owensboro-Daviess County Chamber of Commerce Board, “Community Conversations” Board, Impact 100 Owensboro and the Owensboro Daviess County Regional Water Resource Agency Board. Currently, she is the Owensboro Medical Health System Board Chair and a board member of the Lawrence Augusta Hager Educational Foundation and Impact 100 Owensboro. She has been the recipient of the Girls’ Club Athena Award and the Business and Professional Women’s Woman of Achievement Award.

Deborah was married to the late Marvin Powers Nunley, an Owensboro attorney and has three stepchildren and nine grandchildren.
