We Keep Owensboro Moving!
There are over 225 miles of streets within the City of Owensboro, and like any city, they deteriorate over time. Road reconstruction and repair is expensive. That's why the City Engineer reviews the condition of all city streets on an annual basis and selects the most damaged streets for repair. We do most of the work to repair our concrete streets. On asphalt streets, we do the curb repair work and a private contractor follows behind us to replace the asphalt. Sidewalk repairs are generally accomplished by a contractor. | Mar 13 2009 | Wilderness Trace | Repair work has been suspended on Wilderness Trace due to the cold weather. Work is expected to resume with the arrival of appropriate working temperatures. |
| Mar 10 2009 | Stockton Drive | Most of the street repair has been completed on Stockton Drive. However, there will be additional follow-up work in the spring. |
