The City of Owensboro will receive lump sum sealed bids on a general contract for the construction of the Owensboro Riverwall.
The work including demolition of the existing site features and boat ramp, installation of the combined sheet piling retaining wall, earthwork, storm drainage, subdrainage, concrete vaults, and other items are described in the bid documents.
A pre-bid conference will be held in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 4th Floor, 101 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing local time. Although the meeting is not mandatory, it is highly recommended for interested bidders to attend this conference.
This project is subject to Kentucky Prevailing Wage and Federal Prevailing Wage Rates.

Copies of the bid documents may be obtained from Lynn Imaging, 2300 Plantside Drive, Louisville, KY 40299 Phone (502) 499-8400. Bidders may obtain two (2) complete sets of bidding documents upon a $200 deposit per set.
Bids must be delivered to Joey Beatty, Purchasing Manager, City Hall, Room 119, 101 E. 4th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303, on or before 2:00 p.m. prevailing local time on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Bids received after this time wil not be accepted. The City of Owensboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities in said bids.
