The Owensboro Neighborhood Alliances will once again host the annual neighborhood cleanups this year. The cleanups will take place from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the dates listed below. All residents in the cleanup areas are encouraged to help beautify the neighborhood by picking up litter along sidewalks and streets on their scheduled cleanup day. Boundaries for your neighborhood alliance can be found at https://services.owensboro.org/maps/citizen-information.

 

The Sanitation Department will provide free curbside pickup to alliance residential customers for junk furniture, appliances, tires, and other items. Place items curbside by the Friday night prior to your scheduled cleanup. If you have large items, please call CityAction at 270-687-4444 or e-mail cityaction@owensboro.org BY THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE YOUR CLEANUP to schedule pick-up. Smaller items must be bagged or boxed. The sanitation crews CANNOT pick up construction debris/materials, yard waste, dirt, paint, or any type of liquid.

A Special Called Meeting of the Owensboro Board of Commissioners will be held at City Hall, 101 E. 4^th Street, Owensboro, KY in the Commission Chambers on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 beginning at 4:30 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a public hearing on the City of Owensboro’s use of the Municipal Road Aid Fund $1,158,166 and the use of the Local Government Economic Assistance Fund $32,136 as contained in the General Fund of the Annual Budget for 2021-2022.
